I have been a headteacher of a Birmingham Primary School, with high levels of disadvantaged pupils, SEND and EAL, for the past 17 years. I also had the experience of leading my school through the COVID pandemic.
Prior to headship I was a teacher and leader in challenging Birmingham schools and was involved in the amalgamation of an infant and junior school, and successfully bringing a school out of special measures.
For several years I have sat on the Primary Forum and have taken on the School Improvement Partner role for another local school.
