Surrounded by countryside, in a stunning location, our school is steeped in history and is one of the oldest schools in England. Our rich heritage goes back to the foundation of the school by the Nethersole family in 1638. We continue to have close links to Polesworth Abbey and our Christian ethos is central to our school. We pride ourselves in our welcoming atmosphere and Christian distinctiveness. Our dedicated staff work hard to provide a high quality learning experience for all our children.

Testimonials
Our family has been part of The Nethersole C of E Academy since 2010 and it has been a happy and nurturing place for both our son and daughter. Among other key areas that impress us are the many opportunities to be active and creative. The chance to play sport after school and craft activities doesn’t happen in many primary schools. The teaching staff are very proactive and there are always new opportunities on offer to the children (curricular, lunchtime, after school as well as competitions out of school). My son recently participated in a multi school cross country challenge and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and has represented the school several times at swimming galas. My daughter now can’t wait for her chance. Our school instils the ethos that anyone can try anything and both the staff and children are supportive of and celebrate each child’s successes. I feel very fortunate that my children attend The Nethersole C of E Primary Academy.

Nethersole offers a fabulous environment for the children. As a parent I have been lucky enough to also access help, advice and on-going support from their family support worker, without whom I would be unable to access services I have come into contact with.
I cannot talk highly enough about Nethersole Nursery the setting and the experience my daughter is having there. She loves going which to me says it all. The range of activities they organise means there is always a new story when she comes home and the variety keeps it different. I particularly like the involvement in the local community such as visiting the library to the relationship with the Church. The facilities at the nursery itself are impressive; they seem to be able to offer any activity a child could want to do to support their progress through the curriculum. The outside area and nature reserve are well looked after and outdoor play themes changed on a regular basis keeping it fresh for the children. The staff are extremely approachable, friendly and genuinely have the best interest of the children at heart. They are happy to work with me to support in the development of my daughter encouraging and nurturing each stage recognizing her achievements as she goes. I could not wish for a better setting for my daughter in her Pre School year and am very confident she will be school ready as a result of being at Nethersole.
